The Annual Labor Day Dammitball tournament was great fun, despite threatening weather and an unusual east wind. Reigning champs Peter and Marion Cotton hosted the festivities at Osprey Walk. In the face of wind and a few needle-like raindrops, the intrepid contestants rolled their way through a double elimination championship, ably directed by Mike Ross (who drove to the tournament directly from Lexington, KY!)

With some reluctance, the reigning champs pass on the title to the new winners!
Rookie players Paul and Becky Connelly won the title this year, complete with crowns and the dubious honor of hosting next year’s championship.

Winners!
Of course, those who played and did NOT end up with crowns or additional responsibilities are the real winners. A great time was had by all!

I have played dammit ball in the past just for fun. Im at Pawleys and cant find Dammit balls for sale. Any ideas.
There’s a guy from the Isle of Palms who has talked about getting Dammit Balls made and marketed around the world. We’ve had one or two email conversations with him, but so far as we know the balls haven’t gone into production.
The Dammit Balls on Dewees are passed down each year to the new winner. The winner then runs the tournament the following year.
