Judy and Jackie Lucas reported that Team Dewees had another great year.  The team raised $12,640, placing second in fund raising.  On the water, Team Dewees did even better, blazing to a first place finish.

Environmental intern Chrissie Lanzieri reports that Dewees had a bunch more beach erosion during the heavy rain storm on Friday.  Many parts of the Charleston area had more than 5 inches of rain.  A cage over relocated Loggerhead Turtle nest 4 from 2008 washed away on Friday.

Osprey Walk Repaired

The POA staff repaired Osprey Walk.  It looks a little different than before.
Hopefully, the dunes will return and the staff will have to building something up and over the dunes.  For now, though, it’s an easy stroll to the beach.

Pilings Upgraded

Crews have been busy repairing, adding, and maintaining the dolphins (the clusters of pilings) used by the barge on the Dewees side.
